The Victoria group is one of the founding Results groups in Canada. Ever since its creation in 1986, group members have been committed to making a difference by actively raising awareness and generating the political will to end extreme poverty in the global south.
For the last 25 years, group members have also been enthusiastically engaged within the Results community - organizing an annual Results Pacific Regional Conference with fellow volunteers from the Pacific American states. This year’s conference was held in early May at the University of Victoria and attracted 70 delegates with equal representation from both the U.S. and Canada. It was an opportunity to deepen attendees’ knowledge on anti-poverty solutions and strengthen their advocacy skills, while renewing old friendships and making new connections. Needless to say that everyone left the conference feeling inspired and ready to take action for a world without extreme poverty. Take a peek at these tweets shared during the conference!
Our warmest thanks to the Victoria group members! Your commitment makes a difference.
