Our volunteers stepped up for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Canada increased its investment in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria by 15.7%, from $ CAD 804 Million (2017 – 2019) to $ CAD 930.4 Million (2020 – 2022). This is fantastic news as it is an investment that will contribute to 16 million lives saved – and is a testament to Canada’s continued leadership in global health.

Results Canada volunteers are at the core of the advocacy work that we do. Our Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria campaign was launched in January and right up until the federal government announcement last week, volunteers worked tirelessly to remind elected officials of the importance of investing in the Global Fund to save lives and position of Canada as a global health leader. Needless to say that our volunteers stepped up the fight and raised their voice to generate the political will to contribute to the Global Fund.

We’re excited to show to you the commitment of our volunteers by providing the following highlights:

  • Ottawa Group for the most in person engagement with Members of Parliament
  • Victoria Group for the most published LTEs on the Global Fund
