Our Volunteer Ambassadors are the powerhouses that fuel our passionate advocates and elevate our advocacy efforts to make a lasting impact.
Equipped with advocacy and leadership training, they will collaborate with group leaders, volunteers, and staff in our mission to end extreme poverty. Volunteer Ambassadors will lead our monthly Action Kick Offs and share their experiences and skills as leaders with current and future volunteers.
Together they will enhance the volunteer experience by leading example in advocacy and action.

Giovanna Batti is a Volunteer Ambassador at Results Canada, where she supports and strengthens a national network of advocates working to end extreme poverty. She first joined Results Canada as a Fellow while completing her undergraduate degree at York University, where she was inspired by the organization’s grassroots advocacy model and the power of collective action. Since then, she has continued her involvement by engaging, mentoring, and connecting volunteers across the country.
A highlight of Giovanna’s journey has been contributing to advocacy efforts that helped secure the Canadian government’s $675 million pledge to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, expanding access to lifesaving vaccines for millions of children, women, and girls around the world. This experience reinforced her belief in the impact that everyday people can have when they come together to advocate for meaningful change.
Driven by compassion, empathy, and a commitment to equity, Giovanna is passionate about empowering others to find their voice, building inclusive communities, and supporting volunteers in creating lasting impact. She is grateful to be part of the Results Canada community and looks forward to continuing to grow alongside a dedicated network of advocates working toward a healthier, more equitable world.
Qasim's commitment to advocacy is deeply personal. As someone whose family comes from the Global South, he has witnessed and heard many deeply personal stories from family members about how limited access to healthcare, vaccines, and other essential services can affect individuals and communities. These experiences shaped his belief that where a person is born should not determine their access to health and opportunity.
He joined Results Canada because it provided a way to turn that belief into action. Beginning as the Hamilton Group Leader in 2023 and later serving as a Volunteer Ambassador, Qasim has worked alongside passionate advocates to mobilize communities, engage policymakers, and champion equitable access to healthcare, nutrition, education, and economic opportunity worldwide. Through these roles, he has developed skills in leadership, advocacy, and volunteer engagement while helping others find their voice in the movement for global change.
People often ask why advocacy matters. From Qasim's perspective, everyone wants to create a better world, whether that means improving health outcomes, advancing vaccine equity, or reducing poverty. As individuals, we can find these challenges overwhelming. However, his experience with Results Canada has shown him that meaningful change happens when people come together around a common purpose. One example that stands out is the successful advocacy by Results Canada and partner organizations, which helped secure Canada's support for Gavi, expanding access to life-saving vaccines for millions of people worldwide. Achievements like this demonstrate the power of collective action.
A phrase Qasim often returns to is "strength in numbers." He believes advocacy thrives when individuals unite their voices, and his experiences with Results Canada have reinforced that lasting social change is possible when people work together toward a shared vision of a healthier, more equitable world.
Amanda is a dedicated advocate for social justice and global equity who has had the privilege of volunteering with Results Canada. Since joining as a volunteer, then becoming a Fellow and later a Volunteer Ambassador, she has developed valuable advocacy skills while working alongside inspiring individuals and gaining meaningful experiences that have strengthened her understanding of effective advocacy.
Amanda believes advocacy is essential as long as inequities and social injustices exist in the world. She recognizes that extreme poverty is not simply a result of limited resources but also reflects deeper challenges in how resources and opportunities are distributed. Through her involvement with Results Canada, she has experienced the impact of grassroots advocacy firsthand—from raising awareness on social media, to engaging with parliamentarians, to writing letters to the editor. These experiences have shown her the power of collective action and the ability of individuals to contribute to meaningful progress.
As a Volunteer Ambassador, Amanda is excited to continue supporting and inspiring others in the movement to end extreme poverty. She believes volunteers play a vital role in encouraging leaders to take action and demonstrate that a world free from extreme poverty is possible. Amanda looks forward to collaborating with fellow advocates and stakeholders to advance social justice and help build a more equitable future.
Nashaat has been volunteering with Results Canada since 2022, starting as a provincial leader and now serving as a Volunteer Ambassador. His journey with Results reflects what he loves most about this work: the ability to grow, learn, and create real change alongside a passionate community.
Over the past year, Nashaat has focused on mentoring newer volunteers, facilitating monthly Action Kick-Off calls, and supporting groups across the country with their advocacy work. He was honored to receive the Outstanding Mentor award at the 2025 Results Canada Volunteer Retreat, recognizing his commitment to helping others develop their voice in advocacy. His writing has been published in outlets like the Toronto Star and Toronto Sun, and he recently supported a successful meeting with MP David Myles alongside New Brunswick volunteers to advocate for the Global Financing Facility and pandemic preparedness through CEPI.
By day, Nashaat works in artificial intelligence and data with the Ontario Public Service, an experience that has sharpened how he approaches evidence-based advocacy. He believes that the most powerful advocacy is grounded in data, driven by community, and sustained over time. As a Volunteer Ambassador, he is excited to continue supporting volunteers across Canada in building the political will to end extreme poverty.
Inaya has had the pleasure of volunteering with Results Canada since 2019. Starting as a general member and eventually becoming the co-leader of the downtown Toronto group, she greatly enjoyed working with volunteers from impressively diverse backgrounds and perspectives to advocate for social justice and policy through letters to the editor and parliamentary engagement. In 2023, as a provincial leader, she expanded my role by interacting with volunteer groups and leaders from across Ontario, working with them to facilitate volunteer engagement and advocacy.
Now, as a volunteer ambassador, she is excited to broaden her reach by working with volunteers across Canada to expand our advocacy efforts. In her experience with Results, every volunteer brings a unique perspective to each campaign, contributing both to advocacy and to improving policy and social justice outcomes. As a volunteer ambassador, she looks forward to witnessing the growing passion among our volunteers!
