International Development Week is coming up, and although it is undoubtedly important to recognize Canada's contributions, it is equally, if not more, important to plan on future endeavors as well.
This includes international assistance, where Canada can help close gaps in healthcare for women and children, fight malnutrition, boost research in vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics, and strengthen access to quality education so that all children can have the privilege to learn.
Canada is an able country, and so it is only right to share that with the rest of the world. Hopefully, in the coming years these are things that can be discussed in International Development Week.
