Getting your message across effectively in a clear and persuasive way is core to advocacy. To help you structure the way you communicate with your Member of Parliament, write letters to the editor, op-eds, and social media posts, and even speak to your friends and family, we encourage you to use the EPIC model and impactful storytelling methods to make sure your voice is heard!

Your Member of Parliament (MP) is a key decision-maker who can help shape Canadian policy, budgets, and direction. Engaging with them is one of the most impactful actions you can take to get Canada to step up and help end extreme poverty. The best part? Your MP represents YOU and wants to hear your opinion!

These pages are frequently read and provide an excellent opportunity to promote your cause to a wide audience at no cost. Importantly, letters to the editor and op-eds in your local paper will be read by your Member of Parliament and other decision-makers and can greatly inform their decision-making!
