We are currently looking for a bilingual Regional Coordinator for the Eastern Canada region (deadline January 31, 2021 - see below for details).

The openings for the Regional Coordinator volunteer positions for West and Central regions are currently filled. We encourage you to consider applying to become a Provincial leader OR joining or creating your own local group as a Group Leader.

Under the direction of the Public Engagement team, each Regional Coordinator is responsible for supporting and engaging Results Canada's volunteers and supporting expansion efforts in their respective region of West, Central, or Eastern Canada.

responsibilities

  • Facilitate advocacy and volunteer activities by supporting Provincial Leaders and volunteers
  • Lead volunteer info sessions, working meetings/calls, and online discussions with volunteers
  • Lead online webinar trainings to expand volunteers’ skills (leadership, volunteer engagement, writing effectively, etc.)
  • Identify community outreach opportunities, and at times, participate in events to facilitate recruitment and awareness building
  • Collaborate with our national staff based in Ottawa, with your fellow Regional Coordinators, and with volunteers in your region
  • Collaborate with local liked-minded organizations either to raise funds or promote awareness
  • Lead by example by taking actions (political engagement, media letter-writing, etc.), alongside volunteers and in support of our campaigns

requirements

  • Must be of legal age in your province of residence
  • West and Central Coordinator: strong English communication skills; Eastern Coordinator: strong English and French communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independently with a remote team of colleagues and volunteers
  • Ability to influence and willingness to lead by example
  • Tech savvy and comfortable in a digital world
  • Volunteer community experience in Canada
  • Good interpersonal and oral presentation skills – outgoing and problem-solver
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize and take initiative
  • Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible schedule, with evening activities and occasional weekend responsibilities
  • Available and able to respond in timely manner
  • Respect for diversity and commitment to creating an environment that values inclusiveness and respect
  • A sense of humour and generosity of spirit is essential

asset

  • Experience with online platforms like Zoom, Slack, Google Suite, Google Groups, Canva, social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or a volunteer organization and/or advocacy
  • Experience working or volunteering remotely
