Dear Results Canada friends and allies,
After careful consideration of the evolving situation around COVID-19, Results Canada has taken the decision to postpone our National Conference, From Action to Impact: Working Together to End Extreme Poverty, which was planned for this spring in Ottawa (May 2-4).
The safety of our volunteers, staff, partners and allies will always be our top priority. As an organization that prioritizes advocacy in support of global health, we feel strongly that advancing policies and taking actions that are supportive of health security is not only appropriate, but the right approach.
It is our intention to re-schedule our Conference to a later date and will reach out to you to join us once that date is set. In the short-term, we will be reaching out to registrants to ensure that refunds for registration are addressed, and be available to answer any questions you may have. Stay tuned for some virtual activities that we hope to develop as we work to maintain the spirit of our Conference and tap the power of community engagement.
As a final note, I wanted to share my thanks. These feel like trying times. As Results supporters, partners and allies, I know you are member of the public who approaches issues of global health with thoughtfulness, compassion, a commitment to equity, a bias against stigma – and most of all a sense of community. At all times those values are commendable – but especially now.
