{"id":9690,"date":"2024-02-08T13:49:11","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T18:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/?p=9690"},"modified":"2026-01-23T11:47:55","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T16:47:55","slug":"volunteer-voices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/fr\/volunteer-voices\/","title":{"rendered":"Voix des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/category\/volunteer-voices\/\">Volunteer Voices<\/a> section of our blog, <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/about-us\/volunteers\/\">volunteers<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/fellowship\/\">fellows<\/a> like you can publish the remarkable LTEs and op-eds that don\u2019t make it to the opinion pages. <strong>Read the guidelines below<\/strong> and follow the instructions for submitting your piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once published, send the link to your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ourcommons.ca\/members\/en\">Member of Parliament (MP)<\/a> and be sure to amplify it on social media! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(Working on an LTE or Op-ed and looking for guidance? Check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/your-tools\/\">your tools page<\/a> for lots of tips and tricks or reach out for some support by emailing <a href=\"mailto:action@resultscanada.ca\">action@resultscanada.ca<\/a>.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b20e47d28da4174fbf1a952d59c74343\" style=\"color:#29b5cf\">guidelines for submission to Volunteer Voices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>authors must be Results Canada volunteers. (Not a volunteer? <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/join-us\/#headline-78-796\">Join today!<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>published letters do not qualify for Volunteer Voices. Published LTEs\/op-ed are shared on the <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/actions-taken\/\">actions taken page<\/a> and celebrated on Results\u2019 social media. If an LTE\/op-ed is published in a newspaper after it is posted on Volunteer Voices, Results will take it down (this is because newspapers often want exclusive publication rights) so please let us know if\/when you get published!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your LTE or op-ed will not be published if it:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>violates our <a href=\"https:\/\/resultscanada.ca\/our-anti-oppression-values\/\">anti-oppression values,<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is partisan (blatantly biased towards\/endorses\/puts down a political party),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>does not relate to Results\u2019 issues (i.e., extreme poverty, health equity, education, economic inclusion, advocacy, Canadian aid,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is too similar to another submission by the same author.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>how to submit (see below)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LTEs and op-eds must be submitted through our online form or by emailing <a href=\"mailto:action@resultscanada.ca\">action@resultscanada.ca<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authors must indicate the date and publication(s) where they submitted their LTE\/op-ed and Results will wait three weeks from date submitted before adding to Volunteer Voices in case it is published by the media outlet(s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>please note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Results reserves the right to choose whether to publish an LTE\/op-ed on Volunteer Voices.
