On November 6th, Results Canada is hosting a parliamentary reception for Members of Parliament (MPs) and Senators to draw attention to the urgent needs of children living in emergencies ahead of the Global Refugee Forum and we NEED your HELP!<\/p>\n

The power of advocacy often lies in collective action, that is why we want you to invite your MP to our important reception to learn how they can #EnfantsEnSituationDUrgence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This reception will centre the voices of refugee youth advocates with lived experience from the Conseil pour l\u2019\u00e9ducation des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9.e.s<\/a> and will focus on our campagne actuelle<\/a> urging Canada to take action to support early childhood development in emergencies at the Global Refugee Forum this December.<\/p>\n

Please take action now and check-off that #17ActionsForIDEP item by sending an invitation to your MP today. Here are some tips to help you make this happen:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Find out who your MP is by searching your postal code ici<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. You will then be able to find their contact information, including their email address, on their official House of Commons page.<\/li>\n
  3. Write an email to your MP.<\/li>\n
  4. Introduce yourself as a constituent and Results Canada volunteer.<\/li>\n
  5. Share why you are interested in global issues. Refer to these tips<\/a> and the EPIC model to help structure your email. Use your own voice!<\/li>\n
  6. Attach cette invitation<\/a> in the email (you can find a French version ici<\/a>)!<\/li>\n
  7. Let your MP know that you want them to attend and that you live in their community.<\/li>\n
  8. If you don\u2019t hear back within a week, call their office (use EPIC again!<\/a>) and ask if they received your email and whether they will be able to attend.<\/li>\n
  9. Let us know when you have sent your MP your invitation and whether you heard back by emailing gabriel@resultscanada.ca<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
