Every child, no matter where they live, deserves the chance to thrive.Vaccination is one of the most powerful, cost-effective solutions to prevent disease, reduce poverty, and keep children in school. Yet, 14 million infants still go without a single vaccine. This Universal Children’s Day, Canada must stepupand #ReachEveryChild with apledge to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Let’s give children an equal shot #ForOurFuture.
An election is coming. We don’t know when, but it will be sooner than we think. That’s why it’s more important than ever to lock in a meeting with your Member of Parliament (MP): we need the Government to provide a bold investment in Gavi before the next election.
We know that vaccinations provided with the help of Gavi are critical to ensure that all children have the opportunity to grow up and lead healthy lives. We have to make sure our Members of Parliament know that, too.
Meet with your MP (see tips below on how to request a meeting). Ask them to call on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to provide for a bold and early investment in Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Provide them with this letter that they can send to the Prime Minister.
