we are committed to raising our voices for a world without extreme poverty

We believe that no one should suffer or die from preventable diseases or lack opportunities because of where they were born. That’s why we work every day to bring an end to extreme poverty, where people live on less than USD $1.90 a day.
According to the United Nations, extreme poverty is defined as “struggling to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation”.
We are a nonprofit organization that is independent of any government funding. Our power lies in our people – especially our volunteers who are the unsung heroes. They are passionate, committed, everyday citizens who aren’t looking for recognition, but rather want to make a difference in the lives of other people.
Results was designated as a Fair Trade Workplace in January 2019 to support global farmers and workers towards a more just and equitable world.
Since we began over 30 years ago, we have seen global poverty reduced to half using the incredible power of conversation combined with education and action. Together with staff, volunteers, partners and champions, we raise our voices with Canadian government decision makers and the media to influence the changes needed to combat poverty - improved policies, more efficient programs and increased resources.

Our mission is to generate the political will to end extreme poverty.

Our vision is a world without extreme poverty.
Joining Results Canada definitely helped me feel more empowered on the actions I can take and showed me that I can use my voice as a part of a larger mission and a larger movement of ending extreme poverty. The idea of being a part of something bigger than myself has definitely been very fulfilling and something that I love so much.

– Oviya, Results Canada volunteer

By 2030 167 million children will live in extreme poverty if the world doesn't take action to improve health and education
